This year’s Gala of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme will take place on 17 September 2026. For the first time, we will meet in Lublin – a city that is increasingly making its mark on the map of the Polish and European meetings industry. It is here, at the Lublin Conference Centre, that the new Polish Congress Ambassadors will be honoured – individuals who, through their scientific, professional and international activities, make a real contribution to bringing congresses and conferences to Poland. The local co-organiser of the event will be the Lublin Regional Tourism Organisation, within which the Lublin Convention Bureau operates.
The Programme’s Chapter has selected 23 people out of 40 nominations in this edition, which demonstrates the growing importance and reach of the programme across the entire country.

The Ambassadors represent various fields – science, business, culture and international organisations – united by one common trait: the ability to build bridges between Poland and the global community of experts.
Lublin Conference Centre
The choice of venue for this year’s Gala is no coincidence. The Lublin Conference Centre is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – a decade of intensive growth, thousands of events delivered and consistent efforts to strengthen the region’s position. It is a venue where business, science and culture meet naturally.
Over its 10 years of operation, more than 2,000 events have been organised here, attended by over 350,000 participants.
The Centre has also quickly proven its flexibility – during the pandemic, it rapidly adapted to new realities by delivering high-quality online and hybrid events, for which it received the MP Power Awards in the “Venue Transformation” category.
Today, the Centre is not only a conference space but also an important centre of social, cultural and sporting life in the region. Thanks to cooperation with sports clubs and the organisation of diverse events, the venue successfully combines its infrastructure function with the role of regional ambassador.
Its position is further confirmed by international distinctions, such as the Meetings Star Awards for the best congress venue in Europe in the category up to 1,000 participants.
Regional Cooperation
The organisational synergy between the Lublin Regional Tourism Organisation and the Lublin Convention Bureau translates into tangible results: effective support in acquiring conferences and congresses, cooperation with the academic community and active promotion of the region at trade fairs and industry events both in Poland and abroad. The Lublin Convention Bureau operates in close proximity to a strong scientific base – Lublin, the capital of the region, is one of the most important academic hubs in Poland.
This potential supports the organisation of international events and the development of cooperation between science and the meetings industry. In 2026, the establishment of the Lublin Polish Congress Ambassadors Club is planned.
At the same time, the Lublin Convention Bureau carries out operational activities – from organising study visits for event planners, through promotion and substantive support for conference venues and events held in the region, to individual consultancy for organisers.
Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme
The Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme, implemented since 1998 by the Polish Conference and Congress Association (SKKP) and the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation, remains one of the most important and effective tools supporting the development of the meetings industry in Poland. It is not only an awards programme, but above all a platform for cooperation between communities that jointly work to strengthen Poland’s international position.
The September Gala in Lublin will be a meeting of people and ideas that together are building the future of the Polish meetings market.
