Gdańsk strengthens its links with the Middle East
Gdansk Convention Bureau has highlighted a new direct connection between Gdańsk and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, scheduled to launch on 14 December 2026.
Air Arabia will operate five non-stop flights a week, making Gdańsk the airline’s fourth Polish destination alongside Warsaw, Kraków and Katowice. The Sharjah hub also extends access to destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Africa, adding another international gateway for business and meetings traffic to northern Poland.

Łódź puts event design at the centre of Piotrkowska Street
Łódź Convention Bureau staged Łódź Kreuje Spotkania na Piotrkowskiej from 6 to 8 September, presenting central Łódź through the perspective of event organisers, agencies and corporate buyers.
The programme combined hotels, cultural venues and local suppliers with less conventional experiences, including BLACK WORLD, where activities take place in complete darkness, and the interactive Kolacja Fabrykanta at Ogrody Geyera, drawing on the city’s industrial heritage through performance, storytelling and gastronomy.
Kraków looks ahead to a busy autumn at EXPO Kraków
Kraków Convention Bureau has turned its attention to the autumn calendar at EXPO Kraków, where the coming months bring together events spanning technology, industry, business, gastronomy, publishing and specialist sectors.
The programme includes Warhammer Open Krakow, FORUM 2.0, DRONE SECURITY EXPO, KOMPOZYT-EXPO, SYMAS & MAINTENANCE, FASTENER POLAND, the International Book Fair in Kraków and HORECA with ENOEXPO. The variety reflects the role of EXPO Kraków as a flexible venue for exhibitions, conferences and specialist business events.
Lower Silesia puts accessibility into practice
Convention Bureau – Wrocław is continuing its Lower Silesia. MICE Connect & Learn programme with a session dedicated to accessibility in business tourism.
Taking place on 15 September at Hotel Sękowski in Legnica, the training focuses on creating meetings and venues that respond to a wider range of participant needs, including accessible communication, service and the complete guest journey. The session forms part of a regional programme combining professional development, networking and venue discovery across Lower Silesia.
Szczecin joins the Central European meetings conversation in Ljubljana
Szczecin Convention Bureau took part in the ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting 2026, held in Ljubljana from 6 to 8 September.
The annual meeting brought together around 100-120 ICCA members and meetings industry professionals for networking, peer exchange and discussions on the future of destinations and business events. Szczecin was also represented in the programme through an ICCA Fire Talks: Member Spotlight contribution, alongside wider discussions on destination development, ambassador programmes and international cooperation.
