As part of the Spotlight on Poland 2025 conference, a carefully curated fam trip was organised for a select group of international hosted buyers representing key markets. The programme was designed to present Gdańsk and Sopot as modern, attractive and fully competitive destinations for international congresses, conferences and incentive travel.

An Inspiring Beginning in the Spirit of Solidarity

The programme commenced on 10 September in Gdańsk, with participants accommodated at Arche Dwór Uphagena. On the opening day, delegates were introduced to the city’s leading congress and conference venues, including the European Solidarity Centre – an icon of freedom and a world-class convention facility.

The afternoon included a property presentation at Arche, complemented by an immersive guided tour delivered by hosts in historical costume. The day concluded with a gala dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel Gdańsk, located in the heart of the Old Town by the Green Gate and Neptune’s Fountain.

Gdańsk – History, Culture and Modernity

On 11 September, hosted buyers experienced Gdańsk from multiple perspectives. Options included a guided walking tour of the city or an active cycling tour led by local operator Poland by Locals. A visit to the Museum of the Second World War – one of Europe’s most significant cultural institutions – was a particular highlight.

Networking continued over lunch at the Sky Bar of Holiday Inn Gdańsk – City Centre, an event partner, offering panoramic views of the city.

The programme then moved to 100cznia, a vibrant post-industrial event space that demonstrates the potential of creative urban regeneration. Participants also took part in hands-on amber workshops, discovering the traditions of the “Baltic gold” and creating their own amber artworks.

The day closed with an informal dinner at 100cznia, where a flexible voucher system allowed guests to explore diverse local flavours at their own pace.

Baltic Networking – From Gdańsk to Sopot

On 12 September, the day of the Spotlight on Poland conference, the fam trip began with an exclusive yacht cruise organised by Premium Yachting. Sailing from Gdańsk Marina to the renowned Sopot Pier, participants enjoyed breakfast on board with breathtaking views of Gdańsk Bay – an unforgettable highlight and elegant networking opportunity.

Following the conference, hosted buyers continued their study programme in Sopot with accommodation at Hotel Haffner.

Wellbeing and Lifestyle in Sopot

The following day, 13 September, began with a guided tour of the resort led by hosts in historical attire, providing insights into Sopot’s rich traditions. A visit to the legendary Sofitel Grand Hotel, a symbol of timeless elegance, was a highlight. This was followed by a tour and lunch at the Radisson Blu Sopot Hotel – home to the Tri-City’s largest conference and event space.

The afternoon focused on wellness, with spa experiences at both Radisson Blu Sopot and Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa, demonstrating the region’s premium wellbeing offer.

In the evening, hosted buyers participated in gin workshops and tastings at 3City Distillery, a distinctive venue located in a former railway luggage hall and operated by a Polish-British couple. The day concluded with a networking dinner at Food Hall Krzywy Domek, where the Sopot Tourist Card enabled participants to explore the varied culinary offer individually.
