Historic residences, atmospheric vineyards, wellness properties, industrial heritage attractions and venues offering opportunities to create active incentive programmes – a three-day press tour of Lower Silesia showcased the diversity of the region’s offer for meeting and business event organisers. The trip brought together journalists and content creators associated with the MICE industry, who explored both well-known attractions and less obvious locations capable of enhancing conference, incentive travel and team-building programmes.
A Region Building Its Competitive Advantage Through Diversity
The itinerary was designed to present Lower Silesia as a destination offering far more than traditional sightseeing. Participants visited hotels and venues equipped to host business guests, as well as vineyards, museums, spa towns, recreational areas and historic residences.
This combination makes it possible to create multidimensional event programmes – from intimate board meetings and premium trips, through team-building experiences based on regional products, to outdoor activities and experiences drawing on the region’s heritage.
Luxury, Nature and Lower Silesian Winemaking
The first stop was Uroczysko Siedmiu Stawów Luxury Hotel in Gola Dzierżoniowska. Lunch and a site inspection provided an opportunity to explore the capabilities of a property combining historic architecture with a contemporary hotel, dining and wellness offer. An additional distinction is the Uroczysko Siedmiu Stawów restaurant, which was included in the MICHELIN Guide’s Polish selection for 2026.
The next destination was Wojsławice Arboretum. Its extensive collections of rhododendrons, azaleas, daylilies, peonies and rare trees and shrubs demonstrated the venue’s potential as a setting for more relaxed activities, themed walks and events held close to nature.

Another important element of the first day was a visit to Winnica i Winiarnia Celtica in Sobótka. A guided tour combined with a tasting introduced participants to Lower Silesia’s developing wine industry. Venues of this kind can serve either as standalone incentive travel destinations or as part of a team-building programme centred on local identity, gastronomy and direct encounters with producers.
The day concluded at Hotel Dębowy Biowellness & SPA, where participants attended a barbecue dinner and experienced the Barefoot Relax Walk sensory trail. The property demonstrated how a business offer can be combined with the concept of bio-wellness, regeneration and experiences engaging the senses.
Industrial Heritage, Recreation and Spa Traditions
The second day began with a presentation of Hotel Dębowy as a venue for conferences, corporate training sessions and incentive travel programmes.
The group then visited Muzeum Kolejnictwa in Jaworzyna Śląska. Exploring the exhibition and taking a ride along the steam locomotive route provided an example of how industrial heritage can be used to create original elements within an event programme.
The region’s local character was once again highlighted during a visit to Winnica Silesian. The tasting, winery facilities and surrounding vineyard showcased opportunities for organising meetings, workshops and events for smaller groups.

Participants then travelled to Pałac Gruszów, where a site inspection was combined with lunch and a meeting with the owners. The intimate scale and welcoming atmosphere of the property may be particularly attractive to organisers seeking authentic venues offering an individual approach to each group.
The potential for active recreation was presented by the Ośrodek Sportów Wodnych i Rekreacji Powiatu Wrocławskiego in Borzygniew. Although the weather prevented the planned cruise on the Mietków Reservoir, the visit itself highlighted the possibilities of incorporating water sports and outdoor activities into an incentive travel programme.
The day was complemented by visits to the Pijalnia Wód Mineralnych in Szczawno-Zdrój, the grounds of Książ Landscape Park and the surroundings of Książ Castle. The intensive programme concluded with a tasting dinner at ibis Styles Wałbrzych.

Porcelain, Castles and Locally Inspired Cuisine
The final day of the press tour began at the Museum of Porcelain in Wałbrzych, housed in the historic Albertich Palace. Its collections of Silesian and European porcelain can provide a starting point for programmes focusing on the region’s history, craftsmanship and design.
Participants then visited Świny Castle, one of the region’s historic landmarks. Its authentic character is emphasised by the ongoing restoration work and the preserved traces of successive historical periods.

The next stop was Villa Greta in Dobków. Lunch and a site inspection provided an opportunity to discover a venue distinguished by its hospitality and cuisine based on local products. The Villa Greta restaurant was also included in the MICHELIN Guide’s 2026 selection.
The journey concluded with a visit to Roztoka Castle. Its historic interiors and cinematic atmosphere make it an impressive setting for special events, photo shoots and themed programmes. The property was also used as a filming location for Chopin, Chopin!, directed by Michał Kwieciński.

Lower Silesia Ready for Meetings and Incentive Travel
The press tour confirmed that one of Lower Silesia’s greatest strengths is its ability to combine highly diverse experiences within a single programme. Historic properties sit alongside modern hotels, vineyards complement spa towns, while the region’s cultural and culinary offer can be enhanced with activities in natural surroundings.
For event organisers, this translates into considerable flexibility when designing programmes tailored to the character and size of a group. Lower Silesia can serve equally well as a destination for an intimate business meeting or an extensive incentive travel programme in which participants discover the region through its flavours, history, landscapes and encounters with local hosts.
