Warsaw and Mazovia hosted the Destinations Unlimited DMC Global Workshop, an international meetings industry event held from 10 to 12 July 2026. For the first time in its history, the workshop took place outside the United Kingdom and Ireland. Combining business meetings with a study programme, the event brought together 45 meetings industry professionals, including meeting planners from the UK market and representatives of international  destination management companies.

Hosting the event in Poland provided an opportunity to showcase Warsaw as a modern, diverse and well-connected destination for conferences, congresses, incentive travel and corporate events. Participants discovered the city’s offering through both industry meetings and experiences highlighting the capital’s history, culture, gastronomy and creative potential.

Experiencing Warsaw

The programme was designed to present the many different faces of Warsaw and demonstrate the possibilities for creating engaging business event itineraries.

Participants explored Warsaw’s Old Town, concluding their walk with a cocktail on the terrace of the Royal Castle, which offers views over the capital’s historic centre and the Vistula River valley. The programme also included an interactive city game using tablets. Its format combined sightseeing with team-building and elements of competition that can be incorporated into incentive programmes and corporate events.

Guests also visited Warsaw’s right-bank district. During their time in Praga, they explored Centrum Praskie Koneser and the Polish Vodka Museum, which presents the history and traditions associated with one of Poland’s most recognisable products. The experience was complemented by a tasting of traditional Polish cuisine at U Wieniawy restaurant.

Warsaw and Mazovia as Complementary Destinations

The highlight of the event was a picnic and wine tasting at Winnica Nuna, located near Warsaw. Organised as part of the Mazowiecka Eskapada initiative, the gathering demonstrated how Warsaw’s urban offering can be combined with experiences available across the Mazovia region.

The visit to the vineyard provided an example of how a conference stay in the capital can be enhanced with experiences centred on nature, local produce, gastronomy and relaxation outside the city. This combination enables organisers to develop more varied itineraries for incentive travel, team-building programmes and events accompanying congresses.

International Promotion of Poland’s MICE Offering

The Destinations Unlimited DMC Global Workshop provided an opportunity to present the potential of Warsaw and Mazovia directly to professionals responsible for selecting destinations and delivering international events. The programme allowed participants to experience local venues, attractions and activities first-hand, while also establishing relationships with representatives of Poland’s meetings industry.

The event was organised by Destinations Unlimited and Mazurkas DMC Poland (Mazurkas Travel), with Mazovia Convention Bureau serving as strategic partner.

The event partners were Warsaw Convention Bureau, Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – Poland Convention Bureau, NYX Hotel Warsaw, Winnica Nuna and Mazurkas Catering 360.

Mazurkas DMC Poland (Mazurkas Travel) has been certified by the Polish Tourism Organisation and Poland Convention Bureau as a Recommended Professional Incentive Travel Company for 2025–2026.
