Gdańsk connects three cities for international MICE buyers
Gdańsk Convention Bureau welcomed six MICE professionals from Belgium, the Netherlands, Türkiye and Denmark for Let’s Meet in Gdańsk, held from 31 August to 2 September.
The programme combined Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot, presenting the Tri-City as a connected proposition for meetings and incentive travel. Hotel and venue visits were complemented by a yacht transfer with Premium Yachting, experiences in Gdańsk’s former shipyard district and networking with more than 20 local industry partners at Olivia Star Top.

Mazovia takes planners beyond Warsaw
Mazovia Convention Bureau and the Events Industry Association Poland organised a two-day study tour presenting the diversity of the region’s meetings and incentive offer.
The programme moved from large-scale conference infrastructure at DoubleTree by Hilton Warsaw to historic and cultural settings including the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek, Pałac Alexandrinum, Dwór Mościbrody, the Ogiński Palace in Siedlce and Liw Castle. It positioned Mazovia not simply as an extension of Warsaw, but as a wider portfolio of conference, corporate retreat and incentive possibilities.

Mazovia Convention Bureau – From Modern Spaces to Historic Mansions
Szczecin supports sustainability certification across the local industry
Szczecin Convention Bureau has launched a Certification Support Programme for tourism, events and hospitality businesses seeking recognised sustainability certification.
The initiative combines expert support with financial assistance towards certification-related costs. Szczecin Convention Bureau is itself undergoing the Good Travel Seal process, while the programme also points businesses towards schemes such as Green Key. Applications remain open until 30 September 2026.
The programme follows the adoption of Szczecin’s Sustainable Tourism and Events Strategy and adds a practical implementation tool for local suppliers working towards international sustainability standards.

Warsaw brings international river cities to the same table
Warsaw hosted the first United by Rivers: Flow, Friction, Future conference on 3-4 September at the Copernicus Science Centre.
The programme brought together experts and representatives of river cities including Riga, Düsseldorf, Turin, London, Paris, Chicago and Seoul to discuss sustainable waterfront development, climate adaptation, urban planning and tourism. Warsaw Tourism Organization / Warsaw Convention Bureau was among the event partners.
A central outcome was the United by Rivers Declaration, strengthening cooperation between cities working to integrate rivers more effectively into sustainable urban development.

Kraków sees the congress season extending into summer
Kraków Convention Bureau has identified signs that the traditional meetings calendar may be becoming more flexible, with stronger congress activity during the summer months.
Its review of July 2026 noted not only a busy events calendar but also increased enquiries and site inspections from international associations and congress organisers. Events hosted during the month included EuroPython, the International Conference on Agricultural Statistics, EUROBIOTECH and a series of international academic meetings across Kraków’s universities.
The bureau stops short of declaring a permanent shift in seasonality, but points to growing interest in dates outside the traditional spring and autumn peaks, particularly where organisers can benefit from greater availability and different pricing conditions.
