Warsaw has ranked 20th in the Cvent Top 25 Meeting Destinations in Europe 2026, confirming its position as Poland’s leading destination for international business meetings and corporate events. The capital is the only Polish city featured among the top European destinations in the published ranking.
The Cvent Top Meeting Destinations list is one of the most widely recognised rankings in the global meetings industry. It is not based on voting, destination submissions or editorial assessments. Instead, it draws on the actual activity of event organisers using Cvent’s sourcing platforms, including requests for proposals and the value of group business secured.
In 2026, London took first place in the European ranking, followed by Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Paris. Warsaw was ranked 20th, ahead of Manchester, Birmingham, Zurich, Edinburgh and The Hague.
Warsaw Among Europe’s Leading Destinations
Warsaw’s presence among Europe’s 25 leading MICE destinations is particularly significant for the promotion of Poland within the international meetings market. In the category defined by Cvent as Eastern Europe, only Prague, ranked 11th, and Budapest, placed 17th, finished ahead of the Polish capital. Warsaw is therefore the third-highest-ranked destination from this part of Europe to appear in the list.
The result demonstrates that Warsaw is successfully competing both with the leading congress hubs of Central and Eastern Europe and with well-established destinations in Western Europe.
The city’s position is supported by its extensive hotel and conference infrastructure, transport accessibility and diverse range of venues suitable for conferences, corporate events, business meetings and incentive programmes. Cooperation between the local meetings industry and event organisers, as well as the active presence of Warsaw’s hotels and venues on international sourcing platforms, also plays an important role.
Cvent Ranking Based on Actual Demand
Cvent emphasises that its rankings are compiled using data showing how organisers search for destinations and venues, submit requests for proposals and award specific events.
The methodology considers factors including the number and value of RFPs received, the value of business secured, a destination’s share of the regional market, RFP conversion rates, and the manner and speed with which suppliers respond to organisers’ requirements. The 2026 ranking covers the full period from 1 January to 31 December 2025. According to Cvent, all of its Top Lists are based on more than USD 20 billion in actual sourcing data.
This means that the rankings highlight destinations that attracted the interest of event planners and successfully secured events, rather than simply those conducting the most visible promotional campaigns.
However, the ranking does not present a complete picture of the European congress market. It focuses primarily on activity conducted through Cvent’s platforms, and its results should therefore be viewed as an indicator of demand generated by users within this ecosystem, particularly in the corporate events, hotel conferences and residential meetings segments.
Warsaw is the only Polish city included in the list of Europe’s 25 leading meeting destinations. This does not, however, mean that Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, Katowice or other Polish cities were excluded from the analysis. Cvent publishes only the highest-ranked destinations. A city’s absence from the Top 25 means that its results did not reach the threshold required for inclusion in the published list that year.
It does not make it possible to determine the city’s exact position outside the ranking. Cvent also notes that its rankings are highly competitive, with only a small percentage of the destinations and venues featured on the company’s platforms recognised each year.
