From 14 to 16 February 2027, Kraków will become the centre of the meetings industry in Central and Eastern Europe. This will be thanks to Europe Congress MCE Central & Eastern Europe 2027 – one of the key B2B events for the MICE sector, connecting destinations, venues, service providers and international event organisers.

The congress will take place at the revitalised FABRYCZNA 13 complex, which combines modern business, hotel, conference and leisure infrastructure. It is here – at the Mercure Kraków Fabryczna City hotel and the Fabryczna 13 Conference Centre – that the event programme will be delivered.

A platform connecting business and destinations

MCE Central & Eastern Europe is a format that has for years brought together representatives of the meetings industry from the Central and Eastern European region, as well as hosted buyers interested in organising events in this part of Europe. The event connects destinations, hotels and hotel chains, congress centres, DMCs, convention bureaux, tourist organisations and MICE service providers with international organisers of meetings, conferences, congresses and incentive travel programmes.

According to the organiser, Europe Congress specialises in delivering B2B forums and workshops for the MICE industry, based on direct business meetings and face-to-face networking. MCE Central & Eastern Europe is one of the formats within this series and focuses on presenting the region’s potential to international event planners.

The Kraków edition of the event will bring together around 80 exhibitors and MICE service providers from countries including Poland, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Croatia, the Baltic states, the Balkans, Turkey and the Caucasus region. For participants, this means an opportunity to hold business conversations in an international environment, while remaining within the strongly profiled context of Central and Eastern Europe.

High-level match-making and networking

A key element of MCE Central & Eastern Europe will be tailored B2B meetings, known as match-made meetings. These constitute the core value of the event – helping to shorten the distance between service providers and event organisers who are looking for specific solutions, destinations and partners for the delivery of their projects.

The programme will be complemented by destination presentations, networking sessions, accompanying events and city tours. As a result, participants will not only establish new business contacts, but also discover Kraków as an event destination – not through a catalogue or presentation, but through direct experience of the city, its infrastructure, atmosphere and offer for event organisers.

An opportunity for event service providers

For companies from the CEE region offering services to the events industry, participation in MCE Central & Eastern Europe is an opportunity to meet hosted buyers with real purchasing and project needs. In practice, this means the chance to present the offer of a company, city, region or venue in conversations with people responsible for selecting destinations and partners for event delivery.

Participation in the event helps increase visibility on the international market, generate new contacts, verify the competitiveness of one’s own offer and better understand the expectations of international organisers. For MICE service providers from Poland and the CEE region, this is particularly important, as events of this kind build recognition not only for individual companies, but also for entire destinations. Access to the full event programme will provide additional value.

Conversations held outside the formal meeting schedule – during dinners, city tours or networking sessions – often become the beginning of long-term cooperation.

Kraków – an ideal meeting place

The choice of Kraków as the host city is no coincidence. For many years, the city has been one of the most important MICE destinations in Central Europe. It combines a strong tourism brand, international recognition, rich cultural heritage, a well-developed hotel base and modern conference infrastructure.

Kraków is also a city with extensive experience in hosting international events – from scientific and association congresses, through corporate conferences, to incentive programmes. For hosted buyers, participation in MCE Central & Eastern Europe 2027 will therefore be an opportunity to discover a destination that combines professional business facilities with strong potential for urban experiences.

The FABRYCZNA 13 complex fits well into this character. It is an example of a space that reflects a contemporary approach to event design: multifunctionality, logistical convenience, the integration of conference and hotel facilities, and the possibility of building an event programme within one coherent complex.

Kraków and Poland in the spotlight of the MICE industry

The organisation of MCE Central & Eastern Europe 2027 in Kraków will be an important moment for the promotion of the city, the region and Poland as a meetings destination. It is an event that strengthens the visibility of the national MICE industry on the international market.

In 2024, Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation participated in Europe Congress MCE Central & Eastern Europe in Salzburg, where, together with Mazovia Convention Bureau, Silesia Convention Bureau and the International Congress Centre in Katowice, it promoted Poland’s MICE offer in meetings with hosted buyers. The programme included table-top meetings and destination presentations on the main stage, making it possible to showcase the potential of Poland, Mazovia and Silesia as attractive destinations for international events.
