On 5 December 2025, another session of Destination Poland Green Academy took place in Kielce, focusing on the practical implementation of sustainability within tourism and the meetings industry. The workshop confirmed that meaningful change across the sector starts with committed professionals who are keen to build their skills and operate responsibly.
The interactive training was delivered by MICE experts Grażyna Grot-Duziak and Beata Koziarska from SITE Poland, under the guidance of Aneta Książek, Head of the Poland Convention Bureau (Polish Tourism Organisation). Participants worked on hands-on solutions that can make sustainability a natural differentiator for Polish destinations and tourism products.
A strong local perspective was also brought to the programme through presentations by Majka Szura (Polka Travel and WOW Poland) and Dorota Czesak (licensed Świętokrzyskie guide).

The speakers shared examples of initiatives from the Świętokrzyskie region, highlighting its potential and consistent commitment to the development of responsible tourism.
The workshop welcomed 34 representatives of hotels, visitor attractions and regional institutions. The practical format encouraged knowledge exchange, group work and the co-creation of ideas for events aligned with current trends in responsible practice. Participants’ engagement demonstrated that the industry is ready for further transformation and collaboration in support of sustainability.

Poland Convention Bureau extends its thanks to the event partners: Świętokrzyskie Convention Bureau, Katarzyna Kozłowska, and the hosts at Odyssey Club Hotel Wellness & SPA for their substantive and organisational support.

“Both editions showed how much the industry values practical tools. The discussions were very concrete, and participants worked with real commitment on solutions they can implement in their own organisations the very next day,” said Grażyna Grot-Duziak, Management Board Advisor at SITE Poland (MICE Expert).
“Destination Poland Green Academy is not only an educational series, but a platform for collaboration. We are seeing strong readiness for change and a genuine willingness to build a shared narrative of Poland as a responsible, modern destination for meetings and events. It is a clear signal that the transformation is already underway,” added Aneta Książek, Head of Poland Convention Bureau.
“These workshops are a natural continuation of our mission around responsible tourism and an ethical approach to event delivery. For years, we have promoted standards that combine industry development with care for the environment, local communities and the quality of participant experience. We are proud to work with POT on initiatives that are genuinely reshaping the MICE sector in Poland,” concluded Beata Koziarska, Vice President of SITE Poland.

Further workshops are planned for 2026 in Katowice, Łódź, Lublin and Poznań.
The second part of the meeting marked the launch of the Świętokrzyskie Congress Ambassadors Club, an initiative designed to support the acquisition of association events for the region and to strengthen the local meetings industry ecosystem.
