MICE EXPO 2025 at PreZero Arena Gliwice – summary of the inaugural edition

MICE-EXPO-2025-Gliwice-Poland

On 6 November 2025, Silesia became the focal point of Poland’s event industry as MICE EXPO made its debut at PreZero Arena Gliwice. More than 600 professionals, 85 exhibitors and 28 speakers came to Gliwice to discuss trends, collaboration and the development of the market. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau.

Throughout the event, the halls of PreZero Arena Gliwice were buzzing with activity – business meetings, product presentations, networking sessions and inspiring talks on the future of the industry all took place. The programme was complemented by panel discussions and presentations on two stages, as well as five spectacular artistic performances. All of this created a unique energy that participants referred to as a true “celebration of the MICE industry in Poland”.

“We wanted MICE EXPO to be not just a trade fair, but also a space for genuine dialogue, exchange of experience and collaboration. What happened in Gliwice exceeded our expectations – the sheer amount of positive energy and trust from the industry shows that such an event was really needed. The trust placed in us by our partners was hugely important. Thanks to their support, MICE EXPO gained a solid substantive foundation from the very first edition and became a place for real industry dialogue. I would like to extend special thanks to Silesia Convention Bureau, which believed in this project and co-created the conference programme,” said Agnieszka Waśko, initiator and organiser of MICE EXPO.

The educational programme focused on key trends and challenges in the MICE market. Expert presentations, panel discussions and inspirational sessions attracted strong interest. The special guest of the event was Professor Rob Davidson – an international MICE expert, lecturer at the University of Greenwich in London and business events market analyst – who shared a global perspective on the development of the meetings sector and bleisure trends.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau, with Silesia Convention Bureau acting as content partner, and supported by institutional and media partners.

“Silesia Convention Bureau provided content support for the event and also invited key guests from Poland and abroad. At our invitation, Professor Rob Davidson and a representative of CIM Magazin from Germany came to Gliwice. As part of the event, we also organised a post-tour for meeting planners, during which they had the opportunity to visit the new VOCO hotel in Katowice and discover the event potential of the Historic Guido Mine in Zabrze,” added Sebastian Gronet, Project Manager at Silesia Convention Bureau.

“MICE EXPO confirmed that Poland’s meetings sector is going from strength to strength – intensive networking and high-quality content were visible on every stage. I am pleased that, as part of our educational project ‘Laboratorium Twórców’ (Event Creators’ Lab), I was able to speak in the Conference Zone with a session entitled ‘How to use digital marketing in the meetings and events industry’. I focused on data, tools and good practices that genuinely support lead generation and help build a positive image of MICE destinations,” said Jarosław Marciuk, Chief Marketing Specialist at Poland Convention Bureau.

Among the exhibitors with stands at MICE EXPO in Gliwice were, among others, Łódź Convention Bureau and Silesia Convention Bureau.

MICE EXPO is an important step in strengthening Silesia’s position on Poland’s event map. The next edition will take place on 5 November 2026, once again at PreZero Arena Gliwice. The organisers are planning an expanded exhibition area, an even richer educational programme and new networking zones.
