“Vademecum of the Contemporary Event Manager” (PL Vademecum Współczesnego Event Managera) is a new publication dedicated to the MICE industry, created by practitioners who deliver event projects on a daily basis, manage teams, and collaborate with clients within the dynamic environment of business events. The book’s partner is the Polish Tourism Organisation, and one of its nine authors is Jarosław Marciuk, representing the Poland Convention Bureau.

The book was developed out of a need to present an authentic picture of the industry, where responsibility for both projects and people is key, alongside the ability to combine strategy, logistics and emotional engagement. The initiator and leader of the project is Alexandra Kunowska from Next Level Academy.

The official launch of the publication took place on 16 April 2026 in an online format and will also be held on 21 April 2026 during the Effect MICE Festival at EXPO Łódź (13:00, NeuroEvents – sensory relaxation zone).

“This is a practical vademecum recommended by professionals who have been designing, selling and delivering events for years. It contains solutions, experience and tools that can be applied effectively, calmly and with greater precision. It is a book for those seeking knowledge on how to create events that truly deliver results,” said Alexandra Kunowska, project leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in business events.

“Vademecum of the Contemporary Event Manager is a guide for those navigating a world where every destination is shaped by responsibilities. The authors demonstrate that an effective event manager combines hard and soft data, follows trends, and designs events with participants’ needs in mind. The book inspires the creation of experiences that go beyond logistics – authentic, engaging and tailored to the audience. The concept of ‘Hospitality 2.0’ places people and their wellbeing at the centre of attention, including the wellbeing of the event manager. This vademecum is essential reading for anyone who aims to create events that deliver lasting and distinctive value.”
