Jarosław Marciuk from the Polish Tourism Organisation’s Poland Convention Bureau, has joined the group of Śląskie MICE is nice Brand Ambassadors. The honorary title, awarded to professionals who support the promotion of the Silesian Voivodeship within the meetings industry, was presented on 23 September 2026 during the 15th edition of Silesia Meeting Day. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble, located in the historic palace and park complex in Koszęcin.

This time, the community created by Silesia Convention Bureau welcomed a representative of the Polish Tourism Organisation’s Poland Convention Bureau, who has worked with the regional convention bureau for several years on educational, promotional and industry projects.

The first ambassador of the brand was Izabela Pałdyna, founder and owner of SHO GROUP, who has worked in the meetings industry for more than 20 years. She became more closely acquainted with the region during a Silesia Convention Bureau study visit in 2025 and subsequently delivered more than a dozen business events in the Silesian Voivodeship.

In June 2026, Magdalena Rembek, DMC Director at Bespoke Agency Poland, joined the group of ambassadors. She specialises in projects for international clients and in promoting Polish destinations within the meetings industry. Both ambassadors bring the perspective of organisers and agencies working directly with clients, with their recommendations based on first-hand experience of delivering events and exploring the region’s offer.

The Śląskie MICE is nice brand promotes the Silesian Voivodeship as a destination for congresses, conferences, corporate events and incentive travel. In September 2026, Silesia Convention Bureau also launched an online campaign using the slogan to promote the region and explain the role of a convention bureau in developing the meetings market.

Cooperation between Poland Convention Bureau and Silesia Convention Bureau

At Poland Convention Bureau, Jarosław Marciuk is responsible for destination marketing, digital communications and the promotion of Poland in the international meetings market. He has 20 years of experience in tourism, hospitality and the media. He has followed the work of Silesia Convention Bureau since the bureau was established in January 2023.

In March 2024, during the fifth edition of Silesia Meeting Day in Katowice, Jarosław Marciuk delivered a training session on marketing in tourism and the MICE industry as part of the Poland Convention Bureau’s Laboratorium Twórców programme.

“This recognition is particularly special to me because I have been following the work of Silesia Convention Bureau virtually from the very beginning. Only 2.5 years have passed, yet there is already a very tangible story behind the idea. During this time, the bureau has developed its own projects, including Silesia Meeting Day, Silesia Ambasador Day and Silesia Ambasador Club. There has also been the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala, press tours and study visits. The region’s position within the meetings industry has clearly strengthened in this relatively short period,” says Jarosław Marciuk, Senior Marketing Specialist at the Meetings and Events Department – Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Silesia Convention Bureau has operated within the structures of the Silesian Tourism Organisation since January 2023. In March 2024, Katowice hosted the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala, co-organised by the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau, the Polish Conference and Congress Association and Silesia Convention Bureau.

“From the perspective of Poland Convention Bureau, it is also important to me that Silesia Convention Bureau has been an active part of the nationwide cooperation network from the outset. Some of the marketing and industry initiatives delivered in Silesia may also provide inspiration for other convention bureaux, including those that have only recently been established. I regard this title as an important distinction, particularly because it is awarded by a community of professionals involved in the development of the region. Behind every project, campaign and event are specific people. I would therefore particularly like to thank Agnieszka Sikorska, Dominika Wojniak and Sebastian Gronet for their energy, consistency and ability to bring people together around Silesia,” adds Jarosław Marciuk.

Awarding the title to a representative of Poland Convention Bureau is also another element of cooperation between the national and regional convention bureaux – from joint educational projects to promoting the Silesian Voivodeship in the domestic and international meetings market.

Silesia MICE is nice Brand Ambassadors

The Śląskie MICE is nice Brand Ambassadors community was created by Silesia Convention Bureau around professionals who, through their work, contacts and communications, contribute to raising the profile of the Silesian Voivodeship within the meetings market.

The Silesia MICE is nice brand promotes the voivodeship as a destination for congresses, conferences, corporate events and incentive travel. In September 2026, Silesia Convention Bureau also launched an online campaign using the slogan to promote the region and explain the role of convention bureaux in developing the meetings market.

“From the very beginning of our activities, Jarek has strongly supported our initiatives and encouraged us in delivering them. He has been a positive force, but also a knowledgeable reviewer of our work, particularly when it comes to digital communications. Having people like this around us is extremely valuable. It is also worth emphasising that there are more professionals promoting the region within our industry, which is why we already have further candidates for this title,” says Sebastian Gronet, Project Manager at Silesia Convention Bureau.
