Animated Instagram Stickers for the MICE Industry

The Poland Convention Bureau is promoting a new collection of interactive graphics for use on Instagram Stories and other multimedia materials. Available in both static and animated versions, these stickers are a tool designed to promote the meetings and events industry, helping to create engaging content on social media platforms.

Instagram plays a key role in communication within the meetings industry, as well as for hotels, cities, and regions. Therefore, these dedicated stickers can enhance messaging by allowing the creation of more engaging content. The graphic designs are eye-catching and stand out, while subtle animations add a modern and dynamic touch.

This new initiative in online marketing was first presented on 22 January 2025 during an industry meeting as part of the ‘”Eventprofs Creators Lab” series at the renowned Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw.

What’s Included in the Collection?

A total of 35 stickers have been created. Here are a few selected examples:

  • Symbols of Polish cities (e.g. Warsaw Mermaid, Wawel Dragon, Poznań Town Hall Goats, Wrocław Gnome, Lublin Goat, Neptune from Gdańsk, Łódź Unicorn)
  • Key congress and exhibition venues (e.g. ICE Kraków, Spodek in Katowice, European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, Poznań International Fair, Kielce Trade Fairs, Lublin Conference Centre, EC1 Łódź, Centennial Hall in Wrocław)
  • Promotional slogans and hashtags:
    • #PolandCVB – the official hashtag of Poland Convention Bureau
    • #EventprofsPL – hashtag for the Polish community of event professionals
    • #EventprofsLAB – promoting the educational project ‘Creators Lab’
    • #PolskaTravel and #PolandTravel – used by both domestic and international tourists and content creators

The meetings and events industry is rapidly evolving, and social media, particularly Instagram, has become a crucial communication tool.

“We wanted to provide our partners with an attractive, ready-made tool to help promote their events and venues in a modern way. The stickers highlight the uniqueness of Polish cities and congress venues while reinforcing the consistency of our message in the global online space,” says Aneta Książek, Director of the Poland Convention Bureau.

How to Use the Instagram Stickers?

The stickers are available free of charge to Instagram users. Simply enter “PolandCVB” while creating a Story to browse all 35 stickers and choose your favourite. They can also be found by searching for other relevant keywords. Since their launch, the stickers have been displayed nearly 700,000 times.

Additionally, the stickers can be used in multimedia presentations and promotional materials by partners of the Poland Convention Bureau and the Polish Tourist Organisation.

Instagram`s Role in the MICE industry

Analysing the content published in connection with the IMEX and IBTM World trade fairs, a clear pattern can be observed. In both cases, materials were examined before, during, and after the events. The results of the analysis showed that Instagram has become the primary platform for sharing content related to these trade fairs. For IBTM World in Barcelona, this accounted for over 35% of all posts, while for IMEX America in Las Vegas, it exceeded half.

This highlights the growing importance of Instagram in the MICE industry, particularly as a tool for promotion and engagement around industry events.
