ENTER25 eTourism – International Tourism & Technology Conference in Wrocław

From 17–21 February 2025, Wrocław will become a global hub for discussions on the future of tourism and digital innovation. During this time, the city will host the ENTER25 eTourism conference, organised by the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT). The event will bring together experts, researchers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts passionate about innovative solutions for the tourism sector. The Polish Tourism Organisation is one of the event’s partners.

The Future of Digital Tourism

This year’s edition, held under the theme “eTourism towards 2060”, will focus on the digital transformation of tourism and the key technologies shaping the industry’s future. The main topics will include:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Big Data – data analysis, process automation, and the development of intelligent systems,
  • E-marketing and personalised offers – tailoring content to individual traveller preferences,
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) – innovative destination promotion methods,
  • Sustainable tourism development – industry challenges in the context of global changes.

The conference will provide participants with insights into the latest trends and innovations influencing how people plan and experience travel.

Wrocław – A Hub for e-Tourism

The host city, Wrocław, is a major academic centre with 27 higher education institutions and a student population of over 140,000. The event programme includes:

  • Keynote speeches and panel discussions led by world-class experts,
  • Networking sessions, offering opportunities to establish business connections and exchange experiences,
  • Presentations of cutting-edge technological solutions supporting tourism development.

Experts and Organisers

The conference will be chaired by Professor Dimitrios Buhalis from Bournemouth University, a renowned expert in e-tourism. The event will be hosted by Joanna Nogieć (WSB Merito University Wrocław) and Wiktoria Król-Cieciorowska (President of the Wrocław Convention Bureau).

One of the key highlights of the Poland Convention Bureau’s participation at the ENTER25 eTourism conference will be the “Smart Destinations” session, scheduled for 19 February, in which Aneta Książek will have the pleasure of taking part.

During this session, she will present best practices from the Polish Tourism Organisation (PTO) in leveraging modern technologies for tourism promotion. This will be an excellent opportunity to showcase innovative tools and strategies that enhance Poland’s position as an attractive tourist destination. Key topics will include:

  • Last year’s ZOPOT London campaign, developed with the support of AI,
  • The “Tourism School” project,
  • A session featuring the humanoid robot AMECA at the EventProfs Creators Lab (Laboratorium Twórców),
  • PTO’s immersive stand at the latest edition of the IMPACT congress in Poznań.

The presentation will be accompanied by a dedicated promotional stand, featuring state-of-the-art technological solutions, including VR headsets and the Pepper robot. These interactive elements will provide conference attendees with an immersive experience of Poland’s top tourist attractions, while also demonstrating cutting-edge promotional methods adopted by POT. ENTER eTourism – Over 30 Years of Tradition

For more than 30 years, the ENTER eTourism conference has brought together representatives from tourism, IT, and academia, creating a key knowledge-sharing platform for digital transformation in the sector. Each year, participants gain valuable insights into the latest research, case studies, and practical applications of digital technologies in tourism.

Special partners of the event include the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Polish Tourism Organisation, and the Wrocław Tourism Organisation.
