From 10 to 12 February 2026, Ljubljana once again became one of the pivotal coordinates on the meetings industry map of the so-called New Europe. Conventa 2026, now in its 18th edition, reaffirmed its “quality over quantity” positioning, bringing together carefully selected hosted buyers with destinations and MICE suppliers through pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings and focused networking. Magda Mazgaj, Senior Marketing Specialist at the Polish Tourism Organisation, represented the Poland Convention Bureau.

This year’s edition welcomed more than 400 participants from 44 countries, including 192 hosted buyers and 129 exhibitors representing 18 countries. A defining feature of the Ljubljana-based boutique show remains its experiential format. Conventa continues to evolve the concept of an event embedded in the host city and destination, reinforcing “The Art of Meetings” as a philosophy of relationship building through place, culture and authentic experience.

Poland at Conventa 2026: fourth participation of PCB
Poland Convention Bureau (POT) participated in Conventa for the fourth time, consistently strengthening Poland’s visibility among regional meeting destinations and in direct dialogue with international event organisers.
The Polish representation was complemented by:
- Silesia Convention Bureau
- Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne (LCK)
Together, the partners presented a coherent and multi-layered picture of Poland’s MICE offer, from the national perspective and the network of Silesian stakeholders to the concrete congress and conference infrastructure available in Lublin.
“Silesia Convention Bureau participated in Conventa Meet for the third time. We are very satisfied with this year’s edition. It is definitely worth being here. Many of the hosted buyers we spoke with were attending for the first time. The meetings were valuable and the contacts promising, and we hope they will translate into greater international recognition for Silesia,” said Sebastian Gronet, Project Manager at Silesia Convention Bureau.

Meetings Star Awards
An integral part of Conventa is the Meetings Star Awards Gala. In the 2025/2026 edition, Poland once again secured its position among Europe’s leading meetings destinations. Recognised entities included Polish destinations and venues such as Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne, ICE Kraków, Nobu Warsaw Hotel, the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine, as well as the cities of Kraków, Warsaw and Zakopane.
