From 31 August to 2 September 2025, the City of Poznań will host the prestigious ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting. The event will take place at the Poznań Congress Center, the most modern conference and congress venue in the region. This will be the third ICCA event in Poland, following those in Gdańsk and Kraków. Congratulations!
The event will bring ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) members from over 20 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, from Switzerland to Kazakhstan. The detailed program will be announced next year, but we already encourage you to mark the dates.
Importance of the ICCA Event for the City of Poznań
Hosting the ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting is a significant step in further strengthening Poznań’s position within ICCA and increasing its visibility on the international stage. For Poznań, this is also an opportunity to:
- Promote the city and region’s tourism and business assets,
- Build Poznań’s image as a key player in the Central and Eastern European meetings market,
- Showcase the city’s congress and conference venues,
- Strengthen relationships and cooperation among ICCA members.
Poznań has been actively collaborating with ICCA for many years. The Poznań Convention Bureau has been a member of ICCA for 16 years, and both MTP Group and the Poznań Congress Center have been part of the association for over 6 years.
The success in securing this event was achieved with the support and involvement of: the City of Poznań, the Poznań Convention Bureau, the Poznań Local Tourist Organization, the Polish Tourism Organisation, and the Poland Convention Bureau.
In 2024, Poland reached its best-ever position – 17th place – in the ICCA ranking of countries and cities most frequently chosen by organisers of international association events. This is a collective success of all Polish cities that contributed data to the report. Special recognition goes to Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, and Łódź. We are pleased that, after three years since the success of the ICCA Congress in Kraków, ICCA members, this time from Central Europe, will be able to return to us thanks to the active involvement of ICCA members from Poznań, said Aneta Książek, Head of the Poland Convention Bureau.
With the announcement of Poznań as the host city for ICCA CEC 2025, the location for the following year’s event was also revealed – it will be Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
“Having two exceptional destinations confirmed for 2025 and 2026 shows the incredible dynamics of our chapter,” emphasized the ICCA Central European Chapter, highlighting the importance of choosing Poznań and Ljubljana (Slovenia) as meeting destinations in the coming years.
ICCA and Its Chapters
ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) is an organisation that brings together key representatives from the meetings industry, including international associations, congress centres, convention bureaus, event organisers, and service providers. The association plays a crucial role in the development of the MICE sector by promoting knowledge exchange, building business relationships, and implementing best practices.
The organisation operates through regional chapters, such as the Central European Chapter, which supports cooperation among members from various parts of the world. Through this structure, ICCA effectively strengthens its network and contributes to the dynamic development of the international meetings market at a regional level.
We encourage you to follow the ICCA Central European Chapter’s LinkedIn page.
The leaders of the ICCA Central European Chapter are Vanessa Reis (Zurich Convention Bureau) and Marina Knittel (Vienna Convention Bureau).
The 2025 meeting in Poznań will be a celebration of collaboration and knowledge-sharing among international leaders in the MICE industry.
