Silesia adds new conference capacity on the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura
Silesia Convention Bureau has highlighted the opening of Hotel Berkowa in Podlesice, the latest addition to Resort Jurajski.
The property opened on 2 September with 207 rooms and 10 conference rooms. Its conference and event centre includes nine modular spaces and an 880 sqm banquet hall, with capacity for events of up to 1,000 participants. The wider resort combines accommodation and meeting facilities with gastronomy, wellness, recreation and outdoor spaces in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura.

Gdańsk looks behind the scenes of a sustainable waterfront hotel
Gdańsk Convention Bureau has concluded its sustainability spotlight on Courtyard by Marriott Gdynia Waterfront, focusing on operational solutions that often remain invisible to hotel guests.
The property has held Green Key certification for three years and also holds LEED Gold certification. The bureau highlighted measures including a cooling system using water from Gdańsk Bay, waste compression, food-waste processing, water dispensers on guest floors and motion-responsive lighting in staff areas.
The series offers a useful look beyond certification labels at how sustainability is incorporated into the everyday operation of an event hotel.

Kraków welcomes the international product and design community
WaysConf 2026 brought the product, design and research community to EXPO Kraków on 16-17 September.
Kraków Convention Bureau lists an expected 1,600 participants, while the programme features more than 50 talks and 15 interactive sessions covering product development, research, artificial intelligence, accessibility, behavioural design and design systems. A dedicated workshop day on 15 September extended the programme into smaller, hands-on professional development sessions.

Bydgoszcz puts its waterways into the business events experience
Bydgoszcz Convention Bureau is drawing attention to the Brda, Vistula and Bydgoszcz Canal as assets for meetings, incentive programmes and group experiences.
Waterways run directly through the city, allowing cruises and riverside locations to be incorporated into accompanying programmes. The city’s current tourism offer includes electric-boat journeys through the Old Town as well as routes through the historic canal and its lock system.
It is a distinctive destination feature that can move naturally from leisure tourism into networking, incentive and social programmes for business events.

Warsaw puts public transport on the international stage
Warsaw Tourism Organization – Warsaw Convention Bureau is highlighting the 12th European Tramdriver Championship – TRAM-EM, taking place in the capital on 19 September.
Teams from across Europe will be joined by a team from Melbourne for a competition staged on Marszałkowska Street in central Warsaw. The official programme places the course in front of the Palace of Culture and Science and combines the competition with public activities in the city centre. The event also coincides with the 160th anniversary of tram transport in Warsaw.
The championship offers an unusual example of an international event using everyday city infrastructure as both venue and subject.
