The first Silesia Meeting Day of the year, organised by Silesia Convention Bureau, has concluded. Attendees had the opportunity to spend a full day in the company of key industry figures from the Silesian region. The event, held at Best Western Hotel Mariacki, welcomed a new SCB consortium member, Catering Arts, and saw the first-time participation of representatives from Novotel Katowice Centrum, Hotel Pałac Czarny Las, and Dreamup agency. As part of the Eventprofs Creators Lab project, Jarosław Marciuk from the Poland Convention Bureau (Polish Tourism Organisation) provided participants with valuable insights into online marketing in the MICE sector and destination marketing.
Silesia Meeting Day
The V edition of Silesia Meeting Day was hosted at Best Western Hotel Mariacki and Browar Mariacki in Katowice, and was led by Dominika Wojniak and Sebastian Gronet, employees of Silesia Convention Bureau. The event attracted 24 participants representing various sectors of the MICE industry in Silesia, including hotels, event agencies, congress and conference venues, as well as cultural and scientific institutions.
Special thanks were extended to Director Anna Chwałko and the entire team at Best Western Hotel Mariacki in Katowice. Attendees not only had the opportunity to explore the hotel’s culinary offerings but also to tour the premises. The next Silesia Meeting Day event is scheduled for June at Piast Castle in Racibórz.
Eventprofs Creators Lab in Katowice
Digital Marketing in Tourism, a presentation focusing on online marketing, was one of the highlights of the Katowice event. The educational session included
- case studies
- examples of marketing campaigns
- initiatives conducted by the Poland Convention Bureau in international markets
Additionally, a range of online tools useful for marketing professionals was showcased.

The next edition of the Eventprofs Creators Lab will take place on March 22 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The topic? AI in Meeting Industry with Piotr Szkoda and Jacek Adamczak from Sprawny Marketing.
