On 13th December 2024, the latest event of the Eventprofs Creators Lab project took place at the unique venue of Villa Lentz in Szczecin. The event was hosted by the Szczecin Convention Bureau, with Jarosław Marciuk from the Poland Convention Bureau, leading the session.
During the presentation titled Digital Marketing – Destination Marketing and the Meetings and Events Industry, participants had the opportunity to learn about strategies for promoting cities, regions, and countries in the online space. Jarosław Marciuk provided an in-depth discussion on the role of social media platforms, such as Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as the importance of collaborating with B2B influencers in the process of destination branding.
A valuable aspect of the meeting was the presentation of practical AI-based tools that can support the daily work of industry professionals. Among the recommendations were tools such as Fireflies AI and NotebookLM. The presentation also featured examples of how generative AI is being used in promotional campaigns by cities and countries.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the activities of the Polish Tourism Organisation, which effectively utilises digital marketing at key industry events such as IMEX Frankfurt, IMEX America, and IBTM World in Barcelona. Jarosław Marciuk delivered an engaging, one-hour presentation, offering participants a wealth of inspiration, practical advice, and examples of best practices. More details on the Creators’ Laboratory project can be found here.
Eventprofs Creators Lab is an initiative of the Polish Tourism Organisation, helping cities and regions effectively use digital marketing to build their brand and attract events. Szczecin, with its modern approach and the active involvement of the local industry, has proven that it has all the attributes to become a key destination on the MICE map of Poland,” said Jarosław Marciuk, Marketing Specialist at the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau.
The event’s organisation was made possible through the efforts of the Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia team, along with the Szczecin Convention Bureau project, led by Anna Rojek and Szymon Maksymiuk. This meeting was another chapter in the Eventprofs Creators Lab series, which has already visited cities such as Katowice, Lublin, Wrocław, Zakopane, and Kielce.
Szczecin, thanks to initiatives like this event, is proving that it has enormous potential in the meetings and events industry. We look forward to the development of this city and anticipate the next steps in the project in the coming years.
